Adopt-A-SpotApproximately every few months we team up with the Kiwanis Club of Oyster Point to do an Adopt-A-Spot on Jefferson Ave. between J.Clyde Morris and Middle Ground. Recently, we were featured in a video produced by Newport News called "Litter: It Just Isn't Natural." This event is usually followed by a fellowship breakfast at IHOP. |
Chuck E. Cheese'sStarted by past Lt. Governor Matt Brent, Circle K Clubs in the Tidewater-64 Division rally at Chuck E. Cheese's for some fun, fellowship, and service. Members dine on pizza, followed by some hard core game play to win tickets and prizes for less fortunate children. This event happens at least once per semester. Chuck E. Cheese has been named an honorary member of Circle K. |

Fall Fest and other Campus EventsDuring the school year CNU sponsors events on the Great Lawn and elsewhere around campus. Such events are the Club Fair, Fall Fest, Spring Fest, and Movie Nights. Circle K will try to participate by having a table with an activity at the event. |
Trauma DollsPicking up a project that was started in Norway, Circle K'ers make Trauma Dolls. These are made from simple materials such as white fabric and stuffing. Once made they are distributed to hospitals for children's use. Kids can use the dolls for comfort by holding them or drawing faces on them. Doctors can also use them to demonstrate procedures. |

HI-CUPS (Hurricane Isabel Clean Up Projects)Following the devastation of Hurricane Isabel, Kiwanis Family Clubs have begun to clean up the various affected areas. Circle K has also stepped up to help on several occasions. Areas of focus include: Hampton Roads, Richmond, Northern Neck, and Southern Maryland. |
Kiwanis BingoEvery few weeks Circle K'ers help the Peninsula at Oyster Point Kiwanis Club with their Bingo Fundraiser. Held at the Legion Hall in Hampton, Bingo has been crucial in raising funds to pay for service projects. This is also a great way to meet and mingle with Kiwanians. |

Warwick ForestEvery Friday afternoon members head over to Warwick Forest Retirement Home to socialize with the residents. We play Bingo, Uno, and other games, as well as just visiting from room to room. |
Tutoring and Lunch BuddyFor the past few years Circle K has been visiting Riverside Elementary. Here you can participate in two of our biggest projects. We serve as tutors for reading and math, sometimes even as actual classroom helpers. You can also be a lunch buddy. This involves visiting the same student each week during his or her lunch period. You can have lunch with him or her and be a mentor and morale booster. |

Crochet for KidsDo you know how to crochet or want to learn? This project is for you. We meet each Thursday to watch Survivor and crochet scarves and blankets. Once finished we donate them to local children's hospitals and women shelters. We may also sell them to raise money for the shelters and such. |

K-Kids!K-Kids is the elementary equivalent to Circle K. We co-sponsor a K-Kids Club (currently the only one in Newport News City Schools) at Greenwood Elementary across from Newport News Park. The other sponsors are the Kiwanis Club of Kiln Creek and the College of William and Mary Circle K Club. They meet on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month at 4PM in the school's library. |
